\nThe W.G. (Bill Hefner) Salisbury VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Sleep and Pulmonary Medicine Physician to join our collaborative, mission-driven team serving Veterans and their families.
\nDuties but not limited to:
\nProvide patient care in sleep and pulmonary medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management.
\nPerform sleep and pulmonary histories, exams, and interpret diagnostic tests.
\nOrder and oversee testing, therapies, and equipment such as CPAP and ventilators.
\nSupport multidisciplinary care and collaborate with other services.
\nEducate staff through lectures and participate in quality improvement and committee activities.
\nManage non-face-to-face consultations via telehealth.
\nFor ICU coverage, provide invasive ventilator management.
\nDiagnose and treat sleep disorders, including sleep-disordered breathing.
\nPrescribe and manage medications and alternative therapies for sleep disorders.
\nCounsel and educate patients on treatment options and proper device use.

Position Requirements:
\n\n
MD/DO with completion of an accredited residency
\nBoard certified/eligible in Sleep & Pulmonary Medicine
\nPreference for candidates with:
\nFellowship training in Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine (Critical Care training desired, but optional)
\nBoard Certification (ABIM) preferred; board eligibility considered
\nU.S. Citizenship required (non-citizens considered per VA policy if qualified citizens are unavailable)
