Quick Facts: Location: Brattleboro, VT Start Date: 05/29/2026 End Date/Duration: Permanent Shift: 7 days/week, days (specific hours flexible) Hours/Week: Full-time (~40+ hours) Employment Type: Permanent License/Certs: Active MD/DO, Vermont medical license preferred Experience: Recent inpatient hospitalist or internal medicine experience Pay & Benefits: Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hr (Note: likely placeholder; salary range $300,000 - $350,000 annually) Pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement savings plan with employer contribution Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance and paid CME days Malpractice, life, and disability insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Relocation assistance (if applicable) Licensure, travel, and other reimbursements as applicable What You’ll Do: Provide direct inpatient care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions Collaborate with specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff Respond to medical emergencies, including codes and rapid responses Perform ventilator management in ICU settings Document all encounters thoroughly and timely in EMR systems (Epic, Paragon) Participate in quality improvement, hospital committees, and interdisciplinary teams Support patient education and discharge planning Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations What You Need: Medical License (Vermont preferred, or eligible) MD or DO degree Recent inpatient hospitalist experience Experience with ventilator management and emergency response Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to handle high patient volumes with efficiency About the Assignment: This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, a community hospital committed to high-quality, compassionate care.
