Job Description
The Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider who provides health care to neonates, infants and children up to one year of age. The APP provides care for critically ill premature and full-term infants with an emphasis placed on family centered culturally diverse sensitive care. In collaboration with the APP has daily responsibility for the assessment and management of patients in high and low acuity.
\nThe Advanced Practice Provider practices in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of primary, acute and or subspecialty healthcare to their patients.
\nThey enhance the quality of care through education and clinical practice utilizing advanced practice, knowledge and research.

- Current NRP and BLS certification \n
APN Specific Requirements:

- APN License \n
- RN License \n
- One of the following \n
- NNP Certification with NICU RN experience \n
- Primary Care Pediatric NP Certification with APP experience in an inpatient setting \n
- Acute Care Pediatric NP Certification with PICU setting procedural experience as an APP \n
- \n
PA Specific Requirements
\n- \n
- PA License \n
- PICU procedural experience or NICU experience as an APP \n
- NCCPA \n
Scheduling Requirements:
\n- \n
- Days, Nights, Weekend, and Holiday Coverage \n
- 12h/24h shifts with flexibility \n
- Per Diem \n
Essential Functions:
\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients. \n
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions under the supervision of a physician. \n
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. \n
- Perform procedures as necessary. \n
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. \n
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health education. \n
- Stay current with medical best practices, guidelines, and regulations. \n
- Engage in continuing education and professional development activities. \n
- Participate in research or quality improvement projects as directed or needed. \n
