RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Acute Care Surgery, Trauma and Critical Care to lead a new division at Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) in Long Branch, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader to develop and grow an evolving model acute care surgical services in a busy community teaching hospital setting. MMC is currently building a robust program in Emergency General Surgery (EGS) and Trauma care Surgical Critical Care (SCC). The Director will have 80% clinical and 20% administrative responsibilities, with on-call coverage required.
\nThe anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $600,000 to $830,000 per year.

\nPosition Overview:

- Provide strategic and clinical leadership to establish a comprehensive Acute Care Surgery program \n
- Oversee the development and implementation of Emergency General Surgery and Emergency Trauma Response systems \n
- Deliver direct patient care in trauma, surgical, critical care, and emergency general surgery \n
- Lead and mentor residents and medical students in collaboration with Rutgers University School of Medicine \n
- Support ongoing research efforts in trauma and surgical critical care \n
- Collaborate with hospital and system leadership to advance programmatic goals \n
Candidate Requirements:
\n- \n
- Board-certified/eligible by the American Board of Surgery with added qualifications in Surgical Critical Care \n
- Fellowship trained in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care \n
- At least 7 years of relevant clinical and leadership experience \n
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, research, and scholarly activity \n
- Prior experience in program development preferred \n
- Academic rank with Rutgers University commensurate with experience \n
