\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Communications Installation Engineer. This position is onsite in Virginia Beach, VA.
\nThe candidate will support teams performing installs, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, troubleshooting, and the tests of electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and related devices. The candidate will apply their technical knowledge to assist junior team members with the completion of assigned tasking.
\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

Support team members and perform required communication equipment integration or installation of communication systems equipment, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and use of test equipment as required
\n - \n
Install, configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and manage HF, UHF, SATCOM, radio communications suites and associated network and cryptographic equipment deployed
\n - \n
Performance of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting or assessment of electronic equipment
\n - \n
Work alongside engineers to design, build and test solutions to a variety of technical problems
\n - \n
Analyze operations and offering suggestions for improvement
\n - \n
Perform field validations of various watercraft and equipment
\n - \n
Perform work between customer sites, shore sites, and/or on ships
\n
Minimum Requirements:
\n- \n
- \n
Associates degree in a related field and 4+ years of experience or High School Diploma and 6 years of experience
\n - \n
Knowledge of test equipment including but not limited to Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Optical analyzers, power meters, bench power supplies, or multimeters
\n - \n
Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) services at both Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside Contiguous United States (OCONUS) locations
\n - \n
Must have technical experience with AC/DC circuits
\n - \n
Must have experience with HF/VHF/UHF installation/troubleshooting
\n - \n
Must have experience with RF Connectors
\n - \n
Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS
\n
Preferred Qualifications:
\n- \n
- \n
Experience with HF/VHF/UHF radio systems RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers), basic electronic principles, a firm knowledge of networking equipment, IP networking and sub-netting is required

Experience with JIRA/Confluence
\n - \n
NAVSEA Certified in Fiber Optic Termination
\n - \n
Tower Climber Certified
\n
Clearance Requirements:
\n- \n
- \n
Must be US Citizen and have an active Secret security clearance
\n - \n
Must be eligible to get a CAC card
\n
Physical Requirements:
\n- \n
- \n
Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.
\n - \n
Work extensive time in stationary positions.
\n - \n
Climb and descend ladders
\n
