\nParticipation in the GIG Nursing Program requires nurses to self-schedule a minimum number of hours, maintain flexibility for short-notice staffing needs, and accept the possibility of last-minute shift cancellations. GIG positions do not guarantee hours and are the first positions subject to cancellation.\n

QualificationsRequired Education\n

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.

Preferred Education\n

BSN

\n

Licensure\n

Must maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact state licensure and meet all applicable state board of nursing requirements.

Experience\n
    \n
  • \n

    Minimum two (2) years of recent bedside RN experience in Critical Care/ICU within the last 2 years.

Certifications\n
    \n
  • \n

    Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • \n
  • \n

    Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

  • \n
\n

Preferred Experience\n
    \n
  • \n

    Epic EMR experience

  • \n
\n

Physical Requirements\n
    \n
  • \n

    Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly

  • \n
  • \n

    Prolonged standing and walking during shifts

  • \n
  • \n

    Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat while performing patient care duties
