\n\nHow will you do it
\nWe are looking for skilled HVAC Mechanics who have practical work experience in their trade (HVAC piping, plumbing, pipefitting and /or mechanical equipment service industry).
\n\nMechanics must have practical work experience in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment. May be required to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify special skills. Scope of work shall be limited to commercial HVACR service. Servicemen may partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers and ammonia systems. Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.

\n\nProvide our customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
\n\nWhat we look for

Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
\n - \n
Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for system trouble shooting, repair and aftermarket services for this fast-growing business.
\n - \n
Minimum of Eight (8) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry and Industrial Petrochemical, or Data Center vertical environments. This includes Rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing.
\n - \n
Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and/or ammonia / hydrocarbon system components.
\n - \n
Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
\n - \n
Able to install complete systems, (Chillers, Rooftop Units, plumbing and all supporting mechanical systems).
\n - \n
Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators, laser etc. of pumps, fans, Compressors.
\n - \n
Able to use vibration equipment to trouble shoot drivelines.
\n - \n
Travel maybe required 50% to 75% to support Branch Customers activities, trouble shooting, installation and repair.
\n - \n
You will be required to pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
\n - \n

You will work with other local market mechanics as well as Servicemen and apprentices and when necessary, provide on the job training.
\n - \n
Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills. Able to write and communicate to the customer problem, cause, and corrective actions.
\n - \n
Able to provide quotes to customers and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
\n - \n
Self-starter with a passion/ desire to learn and apply on the job.
\n - \n
Prioritize safety in all forms
\n - \n
Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.
\n
*This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
\n\nHiring Compensation Range: $32.95 - 41.18 Is determined by the Local UA. (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) \n\nThis is a Bargaining Unit Position but is subject to all pre-hiring screening of JCI. With successful performance, JCI may recommend you to the Union Local apprenticeship program, as well as continued employment at JCI. Acceptance by Union Local must occur within 365 days of employment or will result in termination of this position. This is not a guaranty of employment or entering the Union. The Union has its own entry, qualification & screening programs.
