Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Experience: A minimum of three years of experience as a first-class Sheet Metal Worker is required. This experience should encompass the installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, shipboard furniture, and sheet metal fabrication shop work. Marine experience is preferred; however, aircraft, industrial, or commercial sheet metal experience is acceptable.

Required Skills:

1. Ability to comprehend complex ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches, including weld symbols, material types, datum, and reference lines.

2. Ability to comprehend fractional and decimal dimensions utilizing a ruler.
\n
3. Ability to lay off piece parts for fabrication and assembly.
\n
4. Ability to assemble piece parts in accordance with specifications in a quality manner.
\n
5. Experience working in a physically demanding environment.
\n
6. Familiarity with OSHA regulations pertinent to the shipbuilding industry.
\n
7. Experience using small hand tools (electric drills, grinders, rivet guns) and shop equipment (drill press, press brake, shears, etc.).

Salary: Up to $30.00 per hour plus per diem for those who qualify.

Expected Hours: 40+ hours per week.
