\nJOB DESCRIPTION
\nCurrently seeking skilled and experienced CNC machinists for both our lathe and vertical milling departments.
\nThis is a full-time position offering a competitive pay rate (of $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience) and flexible start times between 6 & 7 am. Overtime is available based on workload. Steady, consistent hours with a family-owned culture that values balance.
\nQualifications:
\n- \n
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a CNC machinist \n
- Proficiency in running lathes and/or vertical milling machines \n
- CNC programming, setup, and operation experience \n
- Ability to machine parts to customer specifications \n
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with GD&T principles \n
- Comfortable working in a high mix/low volume job-shop environment \n

\nJob Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering specifications \n
- Set up and operate CNC lathe and/or milling machines, ensuring accurate production according to specifications \n
- Machine parts to blueprint specifications \n
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and tooling setups to achieve desired tolerances and surface finishes \n
- Maintain a clean and organized work area \n
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery \n
- Enter relevant codes for CNC toolpath \n
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions \n
Skills/Capabilities:

- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines \n
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills \n
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and fixture setup \n
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances \n
- Familiar with 3 and 4 axis milling as well as FANUC controls \n
- Ability to read and understand G&M codes \n
