Quick Facts Location: Prestonsburg, KY 41653 Start Date: 09/28/2026 End Date/Duration: 12/28/2026 Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday) Hours/Week: 40 Employment Type: Contract / Temporary Licensure/Certifications: Medical license in KY, Board Certified in Gastroenterology Experience: 2+ years in GI practice, procedural experience required Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $50.70/hr Pay Schedule: Weekly via direct deposit Benefits: Competitive pay packages Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time (per law) Reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and other eligible expenses Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated support team to ensure your success What You’ll Do Provide outpatient gastroenterology consultations and management Perform routine and advanced procedures: EGD, colonoscopies, ERCP, stent placements, argon plasma coagulation, biopsies, and more Respond to emergency consults during scheduled on-call shifts Manage patients with complex GI conditions, including luminal stent placements and hemostasis procedures Collaborate with support staff to ensure quality patient care Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility protocols Engage with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes What You Need Valid medical license in Kentucky Board certification in Gastroenterology (AOBOG or ABOG preferred) Minimum of 2 years’ experience in GI practice, including procedural skills Proficiency in Meditech EMR or similar systems Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration About the Assignment Join a hospital-based outpatient clinic known for its patient-centered care and a variety of GI procedures.
