Quick Facts Location: Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, 17 Belmont Avenue, Brattleboro, VT 05301 Start Date: 05/29/2026 Duration: Permanent position Shift: Full-time, generally with on-call responsibilities Hours/Week: Typical full-time hours (specific schedule negotiable) Employment Type: Full-time Licensure/Certifications: Vermont Medical License (or eligible), Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery preferred Experience: Proven surgical expertise in orthopedic procedures, especially joint replacements, fracture repairs, arthroscopy, etc. Pay & Benefits Pay rate: $1.00/hour (note: pay is indicative; compensation discussed upon application) Benefits include: Competitive salary based on experience and education Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Evaluate and diagnose orthopedic conditions through physical exams and imaging studies Develop and implement treatment plans, combining surgical and non-surgical options Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including joint replacements and fracture repairs Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care to ensure safety and optimal recovery Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including primary care, therapy, and rehab specialists Participate in rotating on-call coverage as part of a dedicated orthopedic team Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues Stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery and pursue ongoing professional development What You Need Vermont medical license or eligibility, Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery preferred Relevant surgical experience, including proficiency in orthopedic techniques Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate attention to detail About the Assignment Join a reputable healthcare facility in Brattleboro, Vermont, known for its commitment to providing high-quality musculoskeletal care and surgical excellence.
