Addictions, Staff Psychologist Opportunity in the greater Houston Area
Job Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Houston Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist with an addiction and substance-use treatment disorder background for the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. The psychologist will provide direct patient contact including, but not limited to: case management, psychological assessment and treatment planning, individual psychotherapy/assessment sessions, family/caregiver stress therapy sessions, and other evidenced based treatments for serious mental illness. The psychologist will perform evaluations of patients with an addiction and substance abuse disorders.
\nWork Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs ,Fr 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. and Wed 11:30am-8pm

Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Must be a U.S. Citizen \n
- Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State \n
- Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) \n
- Completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA \n
- Education or experience with providing care to individuals with Serious Mental Illness (Preferred) \n
- Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our veterans. \n
