Job Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Alexandria VA Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist- Behavioral health Interdisciplinary program (40 hours/week; 80 hours/pay period) for the Alexandria VA Health Care System. Staff Psychologist provides direct patient care, teaching/training services, and program evaluation/outcomes services. They effectively communicate with a wide range of other mental health providers, healthcare staff and facility leadership. The psychologist utilizes existing empirically supported assessment, evidence-based intervention, and consultation with patients experiencing a wide range of medical conditions.4

\nQualifications:
\n- \n
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (*will consider non-citizen candidates*) \n
- Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State \n
- Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) \n
- Completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA \n
- Knowledge of, and ability to apply, professional psychological treatments to the full range of patient populations. \n
- Ability to provide professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health. \n
- Active Board Certification (or considered Board Certification eligible) in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP/ABCN) or American Board of Neuropsychology (ABN).(Preferred) \n
- Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our veterans. \n
