Job Description
Our organization is currently looking for a full-time, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible physician specializing in Family Practice or Internal Medicine to join our outpatient clinic located in Hillsboro, Oregon. This role is part of a larger network associated with the Portland VA Medical Center, which offers a comprehensive range of services through a network of care facilities and outpatient clinics across Oregon.
The Portland VA Medical Center (PVAMC) is a 303-bed facility dedicated to providing primary care to veterans in the region, serving as a quaternary referral center for veterans from Oregon, southern Washington, and parts of Idaho. Last year, the PVAMC system treated approximately 80,000 patients.
Role OverviewThe clinic operates under the PACT (Patient Aligned Care Team) Model. In collaboration with your team, which includes a Primary Care Provider (PCP), Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and a Medical Support Assistant, you will manage a patient panel of around 1,200 individuals. The PACT team is responsible for delivering comprehensive care to our veteran population, addressing both acute and chronic health conditions. Common health issues include:
- Diabetes
- Hypertension
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Degenerative Arthritis
- Depression
- Congestive Heart Failure
- Chronic Pain
This position requires a Monday through Friday schedule, with no weekend or holiday shifts.
Candidate Qualifications- Must be board certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
- Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills are essential.
- A strong commitment to staff education and development is required.

- An academic appointment with OHSU may be available based on experience.
This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday, with minimal on-call responsibilities for abnormal lab results.
Requirements- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States.
- Board Certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine is required.
