Position Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional, patient-focused care in accordance with departmental requirements and state-specific standards. You will collaborate with healthcare providers and the care team to deliver personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, adhering to established nursing models such as ‘Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.’ Additionally, you will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying our organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and favorable clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the patient's condition upon admission and during each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in their status.
  • Carry out procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic responses, and take appropriate actions in case of any adverse reactions.
  • Deliver exceptional care by responding swiftly to patient requests, proactively anticipating their needs, and addressing them effectively.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring clarity by simplifying complex medical terminology.
Qualifications Required:
  • Licensure/Certifications:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a Compact state
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Education:
    • Completion of an RN or LVN program leading to licensure
    • Ability to read and write basic English, with the skills necessary to understand and convey physician’s orders
  • Experience:
    • No prior experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Specialty certification or training as applicable
  • Ability to read and write basic English, with the skills necessary to understand and convey physician’s orders
  • Capability to lift over 100 pounds with assistance from colleagues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively to ensure quality patient care
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
