Job Summary

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join the newly established PACU team in the Bliss Building! Become part of our mission to develop and expand a brand new 10-bay PACU unit that will deliver 24/7 post-operative care for a diverse range of surgical and interventional procedures.

The PACU Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for the recovery of patients from general and regional anesthesia, as well as IV and conscious sedation, necessitating acute and ICU-level care.

This role demands teamwork, independence, effective communication, and critical thinking abilities. Additionally, it requires collaboration, innovation, adaptability, and a willingness to work alongside various disciplines to establish and enhance interdepartmental workflows and relationships.

Qualifications
  • Active Connecticut RN License
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
  • Preferred experience in PACU and/or ICU
  • Training program available and required for RNs with step-down and Emergency Department experience
