Job Summary: Provides clinical services related to the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders. Evaluates speech, language, cognition, swallowing, voice, oral-motor functions, non-speech communication, developmental assessments and auditory screenings. Plans and implements individual and group treatments, provides education and trainings and communicates with physicians and other health professionals. Serves as technical specialist on daily tasks and cases. Regularly models/mentors and trains staff on technical skills. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience:\n

- Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required \n
- Three years' technical experience: Preferred \n

- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required \n
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required \n
- American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred \n

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required \n
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP): Required \n
- \n
- Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines. \n
- Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention. Uses appropriate clinical techniques and tools, establishes individualized treatment plans for patients and completes necessary documentation. \n
- Meets established department and hospital in-service standards for attendance, presentation and coordination. \n
- Meets established special project participation standards, as assigned within the department. \n
- Provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques. Establishes individualized care and discharge plans and ensures plans are communicated to appropriate parties. \n
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned. \n
