Job Description
Responsible for the loading, transportation, delivery, and unloading of products. Major Areas of Responsibility: • Operate a commercial tractor and trailer. • Transport cargo efficiently. • Load, unload, or stack containers, materials, and products. • Move and lift heavy items as required. • Wrap and unwrap products as necessary. • Utilize hydraulic lifts or other equipment. • Inspect the vehicle to identify malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needs. • Maintain the cargo or passenger vehicle in good condition. • Service the vehicle with water, fuel, or oil as needed. • Conduct safety inspections in a transportation context. • Employ weighing or measuring devices during transportation. • Verify cargo against shipping documents. • Capable of lifting 50 pounds, and performing standing, walking, twisting, and bending tasks.
