Staff Neurologist Outpatient

\nVA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System
\n Harlingen, TX
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m.4:30 p.m.
\n Practice: 100% Outpatient | No Call | No Weekends
- \n
- Perform outpatient neurological evaluations and follow-up care for new and established patients \n
- Diagnose and manage common neurological conditions including migraines, epilepsy, neuropathy, and neurovascular disorders \n
- Order and interpret EEG, EMG/NCS, labs, and imaging \n
- Perform neurologic procedures as credentialed (e.g., Botox, lumbar puncture, EMG/NCS, EEG interpretation) \n
- Provide patient education and shared decision-making \n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary VA clinical teams \n
- Document care in VA electronic health record systems (training provided) \n
- \n
- Dedicated outpatient clinic at the Harlingen VA Health Care Center \n
- Average patient volume of approximately 510 patients per day \n

\n\n Qualifications \n
\n- \n
- MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. medical school \n
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Neurology residency (required) \n
- Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory \n
- Eligibility for federal DEA registration \n
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care \n
