Job Description

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in St. Petersburg, Florida. This full-time position offers a stable, rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. The PTA will support a licensed Physical Therapist in delivering individualized treatment plans to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall physical function.\n

Responsibilities:\n

  • Carry out physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • \n
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to restore function and improve mobility.
  • \n
  • Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury-prevention techniques.
  • \n
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment approaches as directed, and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including PTs, physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • \n
  • Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and facility policies related to patient care and documentation.
  • \n

Qualifications:\n
    \n
  • Associate's degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
  • \n
  • Current Florida PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
  • \n
  • CPR certification (preferred).
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
  • \n

Work Environment:\n

  • Full-time position with consistent, predictable scheduling (40 hours per week).
  • \n
  • Potential work settings include hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health.
