Job Summary:
\nResponsible for determining and implementing best manufacturing practices for current and future production related to set-up, start-up, processing, and maintenance of injection molding machines to satisfactorily accomplish quality and on-time delivered products to customers. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

\nDuties/Responsibilities:
\n\n
\n- Maintenance of injection molding machines to satisfactorily accomplish quality and on-time delivered products to customers. \n
- Set-up and start-up of injected molding machines. \n
- Applies injection molding principles and molding theories to troubleshoot and process molding operations. \n
- Performs mold and color changes on injection machines. \n
- Works with Material Handlers and Machine Operators to make sure raw materials within the work cell are readily available. \n
- Monitors machine operation for compliance to all ISO, health, safety, quality, and efficiency standards; analyze and lead continuous improvements. \n
- Works with production management to review and organize production activities. \n
- Collaborates with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment and quality problems within molding cell. \n
- Evaluates scrap reduction techniques within work cell. \n
- Monitors and documents daily process conditions; logging changes and drafting detailed mold repair work information form sheets \n
- Ensures safety, cleanliness, and organization of work area. \n
- Other duties as assigned. \n

Required Skills/Abilities:
\n\n
\n- Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical mindset, reasoning abilities and problem solving skills. \n
- Basic understanding of molding and processing skills. \n
- Ability to train new Mold Setters as needed. \n
- Can successfully act as backup Mold Setter. \n
- Good training and leadership skills; team oriented. \n
- Successful completion of Fundamentals of Injection Molding Paulson Training. \n
- Successful completion of “Technology of Injection Molding – Level 1 Module with Skill Builder Simulation” Paulson Training. \n
- Successful completion of “Implementing Decoupled Molding” Paulson Training. \n
- Successful completion of Forklift certification. \n
- Successful completion of LOTO training. \n
- Highly motivated. \n
- Computer proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word. \n
- Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions. \n
- Ability to work overtime as required. \n
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings \n
\n
Education and Experience:
\n\n
\n- High School Diploma or GED preferred. \n
- 1-2 years Injection Molding experience required (or prior external experience). \n
\n
Physical Requirements:
\n\n
\n- Must be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.). \n
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs. \n
- Requires manual dexterity. \n
- Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment. \n
- Frequently moves from waist level to floor level. \n
