Industrial Services of Peachtree City continues to support a wide range of customers requiring custom fabrication, rapid prototyping, precision machining, and production work. This role exists to add additional machining capability for a growing workload requiring a versatile machinist who can independently take parts from print to finished product.

\n

This position plays a critical role in producing custom and precision-machined components for wholesalers, retailers, contractors, and industrial customers — with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, quality, and problem-solving.

\n

This is not an entry-level operator position.

\n

We're looking for a true machinist who enjoys building parts, programming machines, solving manufacturing challenges, and working on a wide variety of projects.

The Work You'll Be Doing

\n

In this role, you will:

\n

• Run manual mills and manual lathes to produce precision components from drawings and samples
\n • Program and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes using G-code, conversational controls, or CAD/CAM workflows
\n • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer specifications
\n • Select tooling, establish setups, and verify workholding
\n • Machine custom and one-off parts in a high-mix environment
\n • Perform first-piece and in-process inspection using precision measuring tools
\n • Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust offsets, tooling, and process variables as needed
\n • Work independently to create accurate, high-quality components

CAM Software:
\n • Mastercam experience preferred

\n • Precision measuring instruments

What We're Looking ForRequired:

\n

• 5+ years of hands-on manual machining experience
\n • 5+ years programming and operating CNC mills and lathes
\n • Strong blueprint reading skills and mechanical aptitude
\n • Ability to independently troubleshoot machining and setup challenges
\n • Comfortable working on custom, one-off parts and prototypes
\n • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and precision inspection tools
\n • Reliable, self-motivated, and quality focused

Preferred (Not Required):

\n

• Mastercam programming experience
\n • CAD/CAM experience
\n • Job shop machining background
\n • Experience with prototype or custom fabrication environments
