About Lerner Tower 5 (Medical Cardiology Acute Care Unit)

Lerner Tower 5 is a Medical Cardiology unit that cares for high-risk cardiac conditions. We are a 30 bed unit and our employees pick each other up both personally and professionally each and every shift. Common diagnosis include: Fluid Volume Overload, Acute Myocardial Infarction, Atrial fibrillation, GI Bleed from anticoagulation, Acute on Chronic Heart Failure. Weekender Position

\n

Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. Individuals in Weekender roles qualify for full-time medical and dental benefits, whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part-time levels.

Position Requirements:

\n

Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.

\n

1 year of RN experience required

\n

Education Requirements:

\n

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

\n

Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from accredited program.

\n

License Requirements:

\n

Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.

\n

Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation
