We are excited to announce an opening in our bustling outpatient practice, which is experiencing significant patient volume.

  • Work Schedule: Enjoy a 4.5-day work week!
  • Facility: Our Cancer Center is designed with patient comfort in mind, offering a comprehensive range of services.
  • Team Environment: Collaborate with a friendly group of 3 Hematology Oncologists, 2 Radiation Oncologists, and 3 Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Advanced Practice Provider Role: Responsibilities include conducting bone marrow biopsies and aspirate procedures, managing patients undergoing active treatment, and overseeing follow-up appointments.
  • Facility Expansion: A $10 million renovation was completed in 2021, enhancing our capabilities.
  • Resources: The center features 24 infusion chairs and 20 examination rooms.
  • Patient Load: A manageable patient load supports a healthy work-life balance.
  • Programs: We offer survivorship and genetics programs within the center.
  • No On-Call Duties: Enjoy a work environment without on-call responsibilities.
  • Support Services: A dedicated 24/7 Hospitalist team manages most inpatient calls and responsibilities.
  • Collaboration: Participate in weekly tumor boards with on-site specialists from various fields, including Pathology, Radiology, General Surgery, Urology, and GI.
  • Support Staff: Our team includes dietitians, nurse navigators, physical therapists, clinical pharmacists, financial counselors, and tumor registrars.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base Salary: $114,121 for those with 0-2 years of experience; $118,876 for those with 2+ years, plus production incentives.
  • Signing Bonus: A $10,000 bonus upon starting.

Qualifications

Applicants must have graduated from a Master's of Nursing Program or a CAHEA-approved Physician Assistant training program. Successful certification and current licensure in Iowa as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant are required, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate. Candidates must also be able to obtain staff privileges at our medical center. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
