Job Description
UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/PA or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner/CRNP) to join the Hospitalist team at UPMC Williamsport Regional Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic inpatient setting within a 226-bed Level II Trauma Center serving 14 counties across North Central Pennsylvania.
\nIn this role, you’ll make a meaningful impact managing a broad range of complex medical conditions while working alongside an experienced, collaborative hospital medicine team.

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

- 7-on / 7-off | 14 shifts / month \n
- Overnight schedule: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM \n

What You'll Do

- Provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized patients \n
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and complex medical conditions \n
- Perform admissions, cross-coverage, and patient assessments \n
- Collaborate with physicians and subspecialists to ensure coordinated care \n
- Utilize telemedicine as part of care delivery following orientation \n
- Document care and ensure effective transitions across the care team \n

- Knowledge of growth and development principles \n
- Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan \n
- Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies \n
- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment \n
- Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care \n
- Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable. \n

Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:

Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)\n

- Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program \n
- BSN required; MSN preferred \n
- Pennsylvania RN license and CRNP certification \n
- \n
National certification and eligibility for licensure and CRNP certification by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
