Bechtel Construction Company (BCC) delivers projects across North America in partnership with the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU). BCC Craft Professionals are affiliated with the Building Trades Union corresponding to their skilled trade and perform work across a range of construction and industrial projects.

\n

BCC is currently sourcing potential candidates for the Natrium Project in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The Project will consist of a 345MWe nuclear power plant based on Natrium technology. Submitted information will be shared with the appropriate Building Trades Union Hall, which will contact qualified craft professionals based on project needs.

Job Summary

\n

Project Location: Kemmerer, Wyoming

\n

Base Wage: $58.83 / Hour

\n

PLUS PENSION, HEALTH AND WELFARE

\n

*Wages are determined through collective bargaining agreements.

\n

Per Diem: $ (pending) / per (pending)

*Individuals can discuss additional benefits with the corresponding Union Hall.

Responsibilities:

\n

  • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, or noncompliant wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Prepares sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment, and follows diagrams and / or blueprints, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before walls, ceilings, and flooring are completed.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, and installs electrical conduit using tools such as a hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Pulls wiring through conduit.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads with a knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as electric ranges or motors, and installs grounding leads.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Continually tests circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as an ohmmeter and oscilloscope.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Observes the functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • May be required to hold an electrical license.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • May be required to wear respirators, coveralls, and other personal protective equipment for all items listed above.
