The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) practices in collaboration with physicians and a surgery team to deliver high-quality, holistic, evidence-based anesthesia in Pain Management. The CRNA cares for patients in a surgical pain management setting.
\n\n Job Duties\n
\n- \n
- Reviewing medical history, evaluating patients, and determining proper methods of anesthesia. \n
- Accurately measuring and monitoring the level and speed at which anesthesia is administered. \n
- Monitoring patients vital signs to ensure safety. \n
- Informing the physician if a patient becomes unstable. \n
- Attending to patients needs before, during and after surgery. \n
- Overseeing patient recovery from anesthesia. \n
- Supports patient safety when performing his or her job functions. \n
- Reports adverse events to appropriate management authority. \n
- Identified possible risks in processes, procedures, devices and communicates to appropriate management authority. \n
- Additional task as assigned. \n
\n Qualifications\n
\n- \n
- Holds current state license as a registered nurse in the state of Texas and complies with applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs. \n
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs. \n
- Is currently certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. \n
- Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer. \n
- Active Advanced cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) \n
- 1 year CRNA experience (preferred) \n
- 1 year Pain Management experience (preferred) \n
