Surgical Physician Assistant (PA)
\nLocation: St. Clares Denville NJ
\nDepartment: Surgery
\nReports To: Chief of Surgery / Attending Surgeon

Key Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- First assist in the operating room across a range of surgical specialties (e.g., general, vascular, orthopedic, bariatric, etc.) \n
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and histories. \n
- Manage post-operative care including rounding, wound management, and discharge planning. \n
- Perform bedside procedures such as central line placement, wound closure, and drain removals. \n
- Respond to surgical consults in the ER and inpatient units. \n
- Participate in trauma response as part of the surgical team. \n
- Document patient care in EMR accurately and in a timely manner. \n
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. \n
- Participate in on-call and weekend coverage rotation. \n

Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. \n
- Current New Jersey PA license (or eligibility). \n
- NCCPA Certification required. \n
- BLS and ACLS certification required; ATLS preferred. \n
- Minimum of 1-2 years of surgical PA experience preferred (new grads with strong surgical rotations considered). \n
- Proficiency in EMR systems (e.g., Meditech, Epic). \n
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills. \n
