Brown Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced and collaborative Medical Director Veterinarian to lead our AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Peoria, Illinois. This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys surgery, mentoring others, practicing high-quality medicine, and helping grow a well-established hospital. As Medical Director, you'll partner closely with hospital leadership to guide the medical direction of the practice while continuing to practice medicine alongside a collaborative and supportive team. - Provide medical leadership while maintaining an active clinical caseload \n
- Perform routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries \n
- Mentor and support associate veterinarians and support staff \n
- Promote medical excellence and uphold standards of patient care \n
- Partner with hospital leadership to support hospital growth and strategic initiatives \n
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing culture \n
- Build lasting relationships with clients and the surrounding community \n

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited veterinary school \n
- Active (or eligible) Illinois veterinary license \n
- Previous leadership or mentorship experience preferred \n
- Strong soft tissue surgical skills \n
- Passion for coaching, collaboration, and team development \n
- Growth mindset with a desire to help expand the practice \n
