• Utilizes advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to devise and implement patient management activities.

• Fosters educational development of patients and families.

• Provides health care consulting.

• Maintains and advances knowledge and skills in areas of specialization.

• Participates in Quality Assessment and Improvement activities.

Minimum Requirements\n

\n
• Board of Nursing approved Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant program.
\n
• NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or as a Physician Assistant; National Board Certification as an NP/PA required.
\n
• More than 1 years experience in a health care setting.
\n
• May substitute NP/PA with no previous experience as NP/PA if they have clinical experience in an acute care setting with direct patient care for a minimal of 2 years.
\n
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
\n
