Job Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and providing high-quality, patient-focused care tailored to the specific needs of the department, adhering to the standards of practice relevant to the state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, the RN delivers personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by employing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience and positive clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.
- Regularly evaluates patient pain levels to facilitate effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
- Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient’s medical record.
- Delivers outstanding care by promptly addressing patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs.
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
- Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-pharmaceutical follow-up strategies, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, preparing them for future self-management.
Qualifications Required:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within six months of starting employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be acquired within 30 days of starting employment.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be completed within 60 days of starting employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be achieved within one year of starting employment.
- Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma must be obtained within one year of starting employment.
- No travel is required.
- One year of experience is necessary. Benefits
