Job Description
Our organization, dedicated to serving the culturally diverse communities of Queens, New York, is in search of a physician leader to fill the role of Chief of Orthopedics. This position is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care for all musculoskeletal conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the administration, planning, organization, and overall management of the Orthopedics Department.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision focused on quality, growth, and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the creation of new clinical programs tailored to the needs of our community patients.
- Provide comprehensive orthopedic care and services to patients across all age groups.
- Must possess an MD or DO degree.
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery is required.
- A valid New York State medical license, DEA registration, and Medicaid number are essential.
- Strong clinical skills, teaching experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are necessary.
- Previous experience in management or leadership roles, particularly in academic medical centers or public health systems, is preferred.
This role includes a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, which will be aligned with your credentials, experience, and qualifications.
