The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Mountain Home, TN is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to provide full-scope anesthesia services in a primarily inpatient surgical setting. This is a long-term opportunity with a broad and complex case mix, supported by a collaborative VA surgical team.

Assignment Overview

Schedule & Call

Operating Room Schedule:
\n Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM \n
Call Requirements
\n- \n
- Weeknight Call: 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Mon–Fri) \n
- Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage (Saturday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM) \n
- Holiday Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (next day) \n
- Response Expectations: \n
- Within 15 minutes by phone \n
- On-site within 30 minutes if needed \n

Practice Details

- Patient Volume: 4–6 patients per day (average) \n
- Patient Population: Adults only \n
Case Mix

- Cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology cases \n
Clinical Responsibilities

- Pre-operative evaluations \n
- Administration of anesthesia during procedures \n
- Post-anesthesia care and monitoring \n
- Emergency airway management \n
- Acute and chronic pain management \n
- Surgical ICU coverage \n
- Diagnostic and therapeutic anesthesia support \n
Support & Environment

- Full VA surgical team support including: \n
- OR nursing staff \n
- Surgical services department \n
- Multidisciplinary clinical teams \n

Requirements
\n- \n
- Board Certified – American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) \n
- BLS & ACLS certifications required \n
- Any active U.S. state license accepted \n
Systems & Credentialing
