\n Sonographer:
\nWork Location: Salt Lake, UT
\nWork Hours: Full Time | M-Thu 8am - 5pm
\nThe Diagnostic Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonography equipment to create necessary images and obtain measurements. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique. Communicates with the patient and relays any pertinent information to the radiologist and documents on tracking sheet/chart. Communicates with the radiologist and understands and performs any necessary additional exams.

Here is what you will need:
\n- \n
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. For exceptions and training outside the US, educational requirements will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require HR approval. \n
- Certificates: Active certification with ARDMS (SPI only is not eligible for hire) or ARRT(S). ARRT-BS is also acceptable if performing breast sonography only. Current compliance with CME requirements. Exceptions require HR approval. \n
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of database software and RIS/PACS software. \n
- Physical demands: Needs to be able to stand for long periods of time. \n
A Day in the Life of a Breast Sonographer
\n- \n
- Provide services and support for the following areas: \n
- Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way \n
- Produces high-quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam \n
- Documents all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly \n
- Explains procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation \n
- Appropriate monitoring during all phases of the procedure with special care taken to ensure patient emotional and physical well-being \n
- Assist and/or chaperones radiologist when they are performing ultrasound exams \n
- Assists radiologists during ultrasound biopsy procedures using appropriate sterile technique and universal precautions \n
- Communicates patient information in a professional and courteous manner to patients and to referring physicians’ offices as required. \n
- Maintains the ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and ensures proper equipment maintenance and equipment safety \n
- Maintains a good working relationship with Radiologists and other Center staff members \n
