Shift: Day Shift | 8- or 10-Hour Shifts | 6:30 AM Start | Alternating Weekends

Job Summary
\n We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join a dynamic perioperative team in Chico, CA. The RNFA will function as first assistant to the surgeon, delivering advanced perioperative nursing care across Operating Room and Labor & Delivery settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled surgical RNFA looking for a rewarding travel contract in Northern California.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as First Assistant during surgical procedures

• Assist surgeons before, during, and after surgery
\n
• Maintain strict sterile technique and surgical asepsis
\n
• Uphold patient safety and perioperative care standards
\n
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team throughout each case
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• Minimum 2 years of RNFA experience
\n
• Active California RN License (must be active at time of submission)
\n
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
\n
• ACLS certification
\n
• BLS/CPR certification
\n

Additional Details

• Medical staff credentialing required (typically 6–8 weeks processing time)

• W-2 employment required for all agency clinicians
\n
• May float within facility as needed per operational requirements

• No holiday coverage required
