We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Family Medicine Physician to become part of our dedicated team in Lake Geneva, WI. Our organization is a multi-state, integrated health system that includes seven hospitals, featuring a cutting-edge ACS designated Level I Adult Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center. With over 800 employed physicians and 200 advanced practice providers, we serve more than 100 outpatient clinics and various service locations, catering to residents across 55 communities in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Our extensive range of services includes over 125 specialty and sub-specialty offerings, such as adult critical care, neonatal intensive care, neurosurgery, heart and vascular care, cancer treatment, and much more.
Opportunity OverviewAs a Family Medicine Physician, you will:
- Act as core faculty, mentoring and teaching residents in a six-resident program.
- Prepare the next generation of physicians, aligning your role with your strengths and interests.
- Engage in precepting residents, providing guidance in both clinical and hospital settings (50% of your time).
- Deliver clinical care in our residency clinic (30% of your time).
- Dedicate time to program administration and curriculum development (20% of your time).
- Participate in comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, including procedural work, nursing home visits, and women's health.
- Contribute to a well-established medical student education program.
- Shape and develop a community-based residency program while maintaining an active clinical practice.
- Play a vital role in nurturing future family medicine physicians and positively impacting local health.
- Lead the growth and development of the residency program, including its structure, curriculum, and faculty involvement.
- Recruit, mentor, and assess residents.
- Utilize EPIC EMR and benefit from extensive multi-specialty referral sources.
- Established unopposed community-based program with over 30 years of accreditation.
- 40% graduate retention rate.

We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A passion for teaching residents and medical students in both didactic and clinical settings.
- Previous faculty experience in an accredited residency or fellowship program is preferred, though new graduates are welcome to apply.
- A minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in Graduate Medical Education (GME) and clinical practice.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in a relevant specialty.
- MD/DO board certified or board eligible.
- Exceptional care delivery skills.
- Strong communication abilities and a collaborative team spirit.
