ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
\nPosition Summary
\n This is a permanent direct hire opportunity for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse. The ICU RN provides specialized nursing care to critically ill or unstable patients requiring advanced monitoring, life-support equipment, and complex medical interventions. ICU RNs work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment.
Key Responsibilities
\n• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including vital signs, neurological status, cardiac rhythms, and response to treatment.
\n • Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and critical care treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
\n • Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and dialysis machines.
\n • Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, emergencies, and code situations.
\n • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for critically ill patients.
\n • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
\n • Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, and post-discharge care.
\n • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
\n • Ensure compliance with infection control standards, patient safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and hospital policies.
\n • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and competency training.
Qualifications
\n• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state.
\n • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required/preferred.
\n • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
\n • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
\n • Critical care or ICU nursing experience preferred.
\n • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.

\n • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
\n • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
\n • Knowledge of critical care medications, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency interventions.
