\nPosition Summary\n
\n
\nThe Guest Service Manager oversees all front-of-house food and beverage operations across Bethany's senior living campus. The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality dining experiences for residents, families, guests, and catered events while leading, training, scheduling, and supervising dining staff. The position works closely with the Food & Beverage Director and Kitchen Manager to maintain service excellence, resident satisfaction, food safety compliance, and operational efficiency.\n

\nKey Responsibilities\n
\n
\nLeadership & Staff Management\n
\n
\nSupervise, train, coach, and schedule dining service staff.\n
\nMonitor employee performance and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.\n
\nTake corrective action when needed.\n
\nMaintain an active presence on the dining floor during service.\n
\n
\nDining & Guest Experience\n
\n
\nEnsure restaurant-quality food service and presentation.\n
\nOversee dining operations across all campus locations.\n
\nInteract regularly with residents and guests to ensure satisfaction.\n
\nAddress resident concerns and resolve service issues promptly.\n
\nGather and utilize feedback from residents, families, and staff to improve service.\n
\n
\nOperations & Quality Control\n
\n
\nMonitor timeliness, appearance, temperature, and portion control of meals.\n
\nVerify the resident's dietary information and communicate any changes to staff.\n
\nEnsure compliance with nutritional standards and special diet requirements.\n
\nMaintain accurate records and operational consistency.\n
\n
\nFood Safety & Compliance\n
\n
\nFollow and enforce HACCP food safety procedures.\n
\nEnsure proper food handling, labeling, storage, and sanitation.\n
\nConduct inspections of service equipment and dining areas.\n
\nCoordinate maintenance requests when needed.\n
\n
\nEvents & Catering\n
\n
\nAssist in planning, setting up, and executing catered events and special functions.\n
\nSupport the Kitchen Manager and Food & Beverage Director as needed.\n
\n
\nRequired Qualifications\n
\n
\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n
\nMinimum 5 years of relevant food service or hospitality experience.\n
\nMinimum 3 years of management experience.\n
\nServeSafe certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days.\n
\nStrong leadership, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.\n
\nUnderstanding of senior living environments and older adults' needs.\n
\n
