Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Job Description
The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner works with a team of professional social workers, clinicians, case managers, and others to ensure integrated care for adults experiencing serious mental illness. As a member of the client care team, the PMHNP will establish therapeutic relationships to facilitate client progress with treatment goals.
Qualifications:\n- \n
- Master’s Degree in Nursing along with the appropriate Nurse Practitioner certification required \n
- Psych certification or candidate must be working towards psych certification \n
- Unrestricted, current, and complete State of Vermont APRN license required (or ability to attain upon employment) \n
- Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring medical conditions required \n
- Demonstrated current knowledge of psychiatric medications \n
- Solid computer skills and familiarity with operating an Electronic Medical Record required \n
- Ability to demonstrate compassion, sensitivity, and reasoning skills \n
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont \n
- Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire \n
