PA- Orthopedic Surgery/Podiatry (Hospital-Based) - Lakeland, FL

\n

Full-time PA needed to join our established Orthopedic Surgery and Podiatry practice in a hospital-based setting at the Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital with a work schedule Monday-Friday from 8:00-5:00pm. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of physicians in a high-quality, patient-centered environment.

* Previous experience in Orthopedic, surgical, or podiatry experience preferred. Important skills include strong interpersonal and communication abilities, as well as keen attention to detail.

\n

Job Duties Include:

\n

* Assist physicians in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of orthopedic and podiatric conditions

\n

* Provide inpatient care, including rounding, consults, and post-operative management as well as consulting the ortho and podiatric patient coming through the hospital Emergency Department.

\n

* Perform procedures within scope of practice

\n

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care

\n

* Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery

\n

* Call details are available upon request

\n

Requirements:

\n

Education: Master of Physician Assistant (PA) Studies from accredited program.

\n

Qualifications:

\n

    CPR/BLS certification is required

  • \n
  • \n

    Active, unrestricted FL license (or the ability to obtain FL license) is required

  • \n
  • \n

    Strong clinical skills with commitment to patient-centered care, communication and teamwork skills.

  • \n

    Board Certified through NCCPA

  • \n
  • \n

    Credentialing with appropriate facilities must be received prior to performing patient care.
