\n \n - This position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally-occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards including small or large projectiles, contamination with toxic gasses/liquids, impalement, crushing, electrocution, explosion, immolation, decapitation and asphyxiation. Safety policies must be always adhered to. Appropriate personal protective equipment (i.e., safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed boots, and others) must be always worn where required.
\n - It is very important that the incumbent of this position can work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.
\n - Able to lift up to 30lbs or more as needed.

Specific Accountabilities:
\n \n - Inspect production material as assigned for defects as trained.
\n - Remove defective items from production, designating reason for removal.
\n - Report defects to the appropriate manager.
\n - Perform internal QA audits that are compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures.
\n - Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.
\n - Support new product development and continuous improvement and by integrating quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes.
\n - Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
\n - Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.

Education and Experience:
\n
\n - Post-Secondary Education in an appropriate field or a combination of education and experience preferred.
\n - Knowledge of QA methodologies preferred.
\n - 1-2 years of electrical experience
\n - Practical experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, and control plans.
\n - Training and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques and Lean Manufacturing are desirable.
\n - Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
\n - Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker.
\n - Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams.
\n - Ability to manage change on the floor and work well with shift supervisors
\n - Ability to review technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, and design documents.
\n - Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
\n - High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
\n - Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
\n - Clear and concise communication ability

\n Hiring Hourly Range: \n
\n
\n $19.00 - $22.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
