Benefits- Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): Eligible for student loan repayment assistance.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Call Schedule: No on-call duties required.
- Compensation: Competitive salary, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increases.
- Paid Time Off: 50-55 days annually, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 federal holidays, and up to 5 days for Continuing Medical Education (CME).
- Retirement: Traditional federal pension (vesting after 5 years) and a 401(k) plan with contributions up to 5% from the organization.
- Insurance: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance (many plans are portable into retirement).
- Licensure: Must hold one full, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
- CME Reimbursement: Up to $2,500 per year.
- Malpractice Coverage: Free liability protection with tail coverage included.
- Contract: No restrictive physician employment contract or limitations on moonlighting.
- U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be considered if qualified citizens cannot be recruited, per VA policy.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent in allopathic or osteopathic medicine.
- Licensure: Must have a current, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Residency: Completion of an accredited residency in a core specialty.
- Board Certification: Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal or Family Medicine.
