\nMHS is seeking a Gospel Choir Director to join the team working with approximately 50 middle-high school students. The Gospel Choir performs regularly in the Schools Sunday morning Chapel Services for over 1,000 attendees, and performs at local churches, colleges and ministries. This is an onsite, ancillary stipend position. Key responsibilities:

Preparing, rehearsing students for inspiring quality musical presentations.

Selection of appropriate music for venues.
\n - \n
Recruiting, training, & preparing accompanists for the Gospel Choir.
\n - \n
Communication of all Gospel Choir activities (rehearsals, performances, travel details, etc.) to appropriate entities both on and off campus.
\n - \n
Lead the Gospel Choir during all performances.
\n - \n
Available to work on weekends, specifically Sunday mornings.
\n - \n
Mentor and develop students in the Gospel Choir, as well as inspire students to participate.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
\n - \n
Formal musical training, preferred
\n - \n
3 or more years of experience as a Musical Director, preferably with a Gospel Choir
\n - \n
Experience working with diverse students and skilled in mentoring and developing children & youth
\n - \n
Excellent communicator, including platform skills
\n - \n
Strong organizational skills including planning and multi-tasking
\n - \n
Available to work weekends (specifically Sunday mornings) for performances as well as afternoons and evenings for practices and performances.

Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for MHS students.
