Workify Staffing is looking for a Iowa Journeyman Electrician for a Data Center in the Cedar Rapids area!This is a high-impact opportunity to work on a cutting-edge data center project in Cedar Rapids, IA, where your expertise in commissioning, energization, and electrical systems will be put to work at the highest level. Pay: $45/hr until Iowa reciprocation is approved; $50/hr with active Iowa Journeyman license
\n Shift/Schedule: Typically 12-hour days Monday–Friday with an 8-hour day on Saturday; no Sundays. Orientation held Mondays and Thursdays at 6:30 AM — badges typically issued same day.
\n Per Diem: $178 paid 7 days a week if all scheduled shifts are worked Responsibilities

- Perform installations, startups, troubleshooting, commissioning, and preventative maintenance for electrical systems in accordance with project drawings and applicable codes. \n
- Execute First Time Energization (FTE), switching, AutoLOTO, load bank connections and removals, and Level 3–5 commissioning support activities. \n
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, and installation plans; lay out conduit, cable tray, and devices to spec. \n
- Follow approved Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and all company safety protocols; maintain accurate work records and service documentation throughout the project. \n
- Support and mentor apprentices on site; coordinate effectively with Foremen, Superintendents, project management teams, and clients. \n
- Diagnose electrical issues, respond to service calls, recommend system improvements, complete acceptance testing, and participate in post-project reviews. \n
Qualifications

- Active Iowa Journeyman Electrician license required, or reciprocal licensing from AK, AR, CO, MN, MT, NE, NH, ND, OK, SD, TX, WI, or WY — candidates must be reciprocated or eligible to reciprocate prior to starting; those within 3 months of eligibility may be considered at $45/hr and must apply for reciprocation immediately upon eligibility. \n
- 7+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience with a completed apprenticeship program. \n
- Familiarity with data center systems including transfer schemes, switchgear, controllers, and pneumatic/electrical process controls. \n
- Proficient in reading blueprints, one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and electrical schematics; skilled with conduit bending tools, cable tray layout, device trim, and load bank operations. \n
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required. \n
- Must be 18 or older and able to pass a 10-panel pre-employment drug screen, 7-year background check, and hold or obtain OSHA 10 certification. \n
