Rural Physicians Group (RPG) is looking for a hospitalist to join our team at Springfield Hospital in Springfield, VT! We are looking for someone that is passionate about rural medicine, looking to make a difference in medically underserved communities and wants to enjoy a flexible schedule with more autonomy.

\nSchedule: 7-10, 24-hour shifts/month
\nCall: 24/7 call coverage

- Acute Beds: Licensed for 25 acute beds- staff to approximately 16 \n
- Swing Beds: Included in 25 acute beds count \n
- Average Daily Census: 6.9 \n
- Max Census: 25, 16 staffed and 10 inpatient psych (offsite) \n
- Average Daily Discharges: 2 \n
- Avg LOS: Med/Surg 3.8 \n
Acuity: Telemetry, Progressive Care (insulin gtts, dilt, drips) Med-Surg, Swing Level 1 and 2
\nER Volume: Avg 36-37 per day
\nSubspecialty Support: General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Gynecology, Uro-Gynecology, and Podiatry are all in house M-F normal business hours. Night and weekend coverage may vary.
\nAnesthesia is offsite call after hours, weekends
\nAncillary Services: RT, Imaging, Lab, PT/OT/ST- M-F unless weekend request is mad in advance

Experience + Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of experience practicing autonomously \n
- Vent Management \n
- Central Lines \n
- Lumbar Puncture \n
- Paracentesis/Thoracentesis \n
- Intubations \n
- Active VT License or the ability to obtain \n
Compensation & Benefits

Base Model:
\n- Base comp of $1,800/shift
\n- Travel of $100/shift
\n- Eligible for Prime
\nPrime Value Incentive - Provide 10 or more shifts in a calendar month.
\nPer Shift Prime Bonus: $100.00 per shift in addition to shift rate
\nQuarterly Prime Bonus: $3000.00, achieves Prime Status for 3 consecutive months in the quarter.

wRVU RPG model:
\n- Base comp of $2,200/shift
\n- Travel of $100/shift
\n- Eligible for Prime
\n- Quarterly wRVU threshold = 13.5/shift
\n- wRVU payment of $29.69 for every wRVU over the quarterly wRVU threshold (based on current hospital volume, you would earn about $100/shift in additional wRVU pay paid quarterly)
