\nSANZA Teaching Agency are working with a high-performing and well-respected Primary School in Brent who are looking to appoint a confident and proactive Year 6 Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils who require additional guidance with behaviour, focus and emotional regulation.
\nAlthough the pupils are not formally statemented, they benefit greatly from structured support, consistency and positive role models. This role is ideal for someone with a sports, coaching or mentoring background who understands how to channel energy positively and build strong, respectful relationships.

\nAbout the Role - Year 6 Behaviour Specialist TA
\nYou will work closely with a small group of Year 6 pupils who need additional behavioural and emotional support to stay engaged and regulated throughout the school day.
\nKey responsibilities include:
\n- \n
- Providing targeted behaviour support in and out of the classroom \n
- Supporting emotional regulation, focus and self-management \n
- Using sports-based approaches to build engagement, motivation and discipline \n
- Acting as a consistent, positive role model \n
- Supporting learning during lessons and unstructured times \n
- Helping pupils manage transitions and prepare for secondary school \n
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and pastoral team \n
- Promoting resilience, teamwork and positive behaviour \n
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
\n- \n
- Experience supporting pupils with behavioural or emotional needs \n
- A sports, coaching, mentoring or youth work background (highly desirable) \n
- Experience working with Upper KS2 or similar age groups \n
- A calm, firm and fair approach \n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills \n
- Confidence managing challenging behaviour positively \n
- A genuine commitment to pupil wellbeing and progress \n
