\n\nSANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded primary school in Redbridge in the recruitment of a specialist Teacher of the Deaf to join their Hearing Impairment Resource Base from September 2026 for the Autumn Term.
\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to work within an Outstanding school that is recognised for its commitment to inclusive education and high-quality specialist provision. You'll play a key role in ensuring deaf pupils thrive both academically and socially within a mainstream primary environment.
\n\nThe Opportunity
\n\nWorking within the school's dedicated Hearing Impairment Provision, you'll support a small cohort of pupils across Key Stage 2, delivering specialist teaching while helping children access the wider curriculum alongside their peers.
\n\nYou'll work closely with class teachers, support staff, families and external professionals to create an inclusive learning experience that enables every child to achieve their full potential.
\n\nYour responsibilities will include:
\n\nDelivering specialist teaching for deaf pupils within the resource base and mainstream classrooms
\nPlanning and adapting lessons to meet individual communication and learning needs
\nSupporting pupils' language, literacy and social development
\nWorking collaboratively with teachers and support staff to promote inclusion across the school
\nMonitoring progress and contributing to personalised learning plans
\nBuilding strong partnerships with parents, carers and specialist services
\n\nWe're Looking For Someone Who Has:
\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS)
\nA recognised Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) qualification (essential)
\nA minimum Level 2 British Sign Language (BSL) qualification
\nExperience supporting deaf children within a primary setting
\nExcellent knowledge of the primary curriculum
\nA total communication approach and a commitment to inclusive practice
\nOutstanding communication and collaborative working skills
