Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role within a welcoming Junior School?
\nTradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive Junior School in Radcliffe on Trent. This is a full-time position, starting in September 2026, offering a daily rate of £95 per day.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work as a general class Teaching Assistant, providing in-class support alongside the class teacher while also delivering targeted small group intervention sessions to help pupils make excellent progress.
As the Teaching Assistant, you will:\n- \n
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 classrooms \n
- Work alongside the class teacher to provide high-quality classroom support \n
- Deliver targeted small group intervention sessions to support pupils in core subjects \n
- Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs of pupils, providing both support and appropriate challenge \n
- Identify misconceptions and provide effective interventions to develop pupils' knowledge and understanding \n
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment \n
- Manage behaviour using calm, positive, and consistent strategies \n
- Work closely with teaching staff and the wider school team to support pupil progress and wellbeing \n

- Experience working within a Primary or Junior School setting \n
- Experience supporting pupils within whole-class and small group intervention settings \n
- Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent \n
- An NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or an equivalent relevant qualification) is desirable \n
- A strong understanding of child development and effective classroom practice \n
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff \n
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team \n
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) \n
