Teaching Assistant – Afternoons & After School Club

Position: Teaching Assistant / After School Club Assistant (Temporary)Hours: 5 afternoons per week plus 2 after-school club sessions until 5:30pmStart Date: September 2026Duration: Minimum until October half-term

The Role: A friendly primary school is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils during afternoon sessions, with additional responsibility for supervising two after-school club sessions each week until 5:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching and learning throughout the afternoon
\n
• Work with individuals and small groups to enhance learning outcomes
\n
• Help maintain a safe, positive and engaging classroom environment
\n
• Assist with planning and delivery of after-school activities
\n
• Supervise pupils attending after-school club sessions
\n

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting
\n
• Enthusiastic and proactive approach to pupil engagement
\n
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
\n
• Flexibility to support after-school provision until 5:30pm on designated days
\n
• Relevant TA qualification desirable but not essential
\n
