Job Description

Primary Supply Teacher - Blackpool & The Fylde Coast\n
    \n
  • \n

Location: Blackpool, Lytham St Annes, Fleetwood, Poulton-le-Fylde

  • \n
  • \n

Job Type: Flexible (Daily Cover) or Full-Time (Long-Term)

  • \n
  • \n

Duration: Autumn Term (September 2026 - December 2026)

  • \n
  • \n

Salary: £120 - £168.80+ per day (Dependent on role)

  • \n
\n

Are you a primary educator looking for teaching work in Blackpool that fits your lifestyle for the new school year? Whether you want to enjoy a great work-life balance through flexible daily cover this Autumn, or aim to secure a long-term placement for the first term of the academic year, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

Choose Your Path: Flexibility vs. Career Progression\n

We offer two distinct ways to work, allowing you to choose the level of responsibility that fits your current needs:

1. Daily Ad-hoc Cover (£120 - £150 per day)\n
    \n
  • \n

    The Ultimate Work-Life Balance

  • \n
  • \n

This is the ideal role for teachers seeking part-time work or those who want total control of their availability, choosing exactly which days they work each week throughout the Autumn term.

  • \n
  • \n

The Role: Deliver pre-planned lessons provided by the school. When the bell rings, your day is done.

  • \n
  • \n

The Benefits: No planning, no assessment, and no staff meetings. It is an excellent "stepping stone" to explore different school environments across the Fylde Coast without a long-term commitment.

  • \n
  • \n

Requirements: High-quality lesson delivery, marking the day's work, and ensuring a tidy classroom reset.

  • \n
2. Long-Term Teaching Contracts (£168.80+ per day)\n
    \n
  • \n

Secure Your Future for the Term

  • \n
  • \n

September is the busiest time of the year for long-term block placements and maternity cover. Many of our teachers also use daily cover as a "working interview"-the exposure you gain from daily assignments this term is the most effective way to secure a permanent contract in the schools you enjoy most.

  • \n
  • \n

The Role: Take full ownership of a class, including planning, assessment, and wider school contributions such as parents' evenings and staff meetings.

  • \n
  • \n

The Benefits: Gain deep experience within a specific school community, often leading to internal contracts and permanent recruitment for January.

  • \n
  • \n

Pay: Paid to the M-Scale (minimum £168.80 per day).

  • \n
